Advancing the Mission. Together.
We are clinicians, engineers, veterans, and researchers united by a single purpose — eliminating the invisible wounds that follow our warfighters home.
Why Join NRx Defense Systems?
Mission-Driven Work
Every role directly supports the mental health and readiness of active duty service members, veterans, and first responders.
Cutting-Edge Science
Work at the intersection of fMRI neuronavigation, robotic TMS, and FDA-investigational neuroplastic medicine — technology that doesn't exist anywhere else.
Federal Impact
Collaborate with DARPA, DoD, and the VA on programs that shape the future of military behavioral health at scale.
Interdisciplinary Team
Join clinicians, engineers, data scientists, and veterans working side-by-side in a fast-moving, purpose-led environment.
The Team Behind the Technology
Our leadership brings together decades of experience in neuroscience, military medicine, federal contracting, and clinical research.
Jonathan C. Javitt, MD, MPH
Dr. Javitt is a physician-scientist and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience translating neuroscience research into clinical practice. He has led multiple FDA-cleared medical technology programs and holds faculty appointments at leading academic medical centers.
CAPT Dennis K. McBride, USN Ret.
Captain McBride brings over 25 years of U.S. Navy service and deep expertise in military medicine, operational psychology, and federal program management. He has led large-scale DoD health initiatives and serves as the primary interface with government partners.
Prof. Joshua Brown, MD, PhD
Professor Brown is a leading neuroscientist and clinician specializing in TMS, fMRI-guided neuromodulation, and treatment-resistant depression. He serves as Principal Investigator on the DARPA SPARC-TMS trial and holds a joint appointment at Harvard Medical School.
Current Opportunities
We are actively building our team across clinical, technical, and operational functions. If you don't see a role that fits, we encourage you to reach out — we hire for mission alignment first.
Clinical Research Coordinator
Support the DARPA SPARC-TMS clinical trial from enrollment through data collection. Coordinate with IRB, site staff, and the PI team to ensure protocol compliance and participant safety.
Neuronavigation Systems Engineer
Develop and maintain fMRI-guided robotic TMS targeting systems. Work closely with clinical staff to refine precision delivery protocols and integrate real-time neuroimaging data.
Federal Contracts & Compliance Manager
Manage DoD and VA contract vehicles including IDIQ and GSA schedules. Oversee compliance, reporting, and proposal development for federal research and clinical pilot programs.
Data Scientist — Neuroimaging
Analyze fMRI and TMS outcome datasets to identify biomarkers of treatment response. Develop machine learning pipelines to support precision targeting and clinical decision support.
Military & Veteran Outreach Coordinator
Build relationships with military installations, VA medical centers, and veteran service organizations to support trial enrollment and program awareness.
